can anyone tell me pls how do I take my money after doing any freelance job by web?

December 312009

If i do any job on line by "odesk" like website or "peopleperhour". after finishing my job how do i got my money? pls answer.

Open a paypal account or simply tell your contract to bank into your bank account directly.

But there is no guarantee that your contract would pay up 100%.

how can i get a freelance job for designing websites?

December 172009

I want to do all kind of templet design, character design, cartoon drawings etc.

no no no you need to visit some freelance websites such as

http://www.getafreelancer.com/

http://www.elance.com/

These site allow people to post jobs (mostly art related).
You evaluate the job and submit a bid for the job. They normally will say they only have a budget of $500 or $1500.
You take it from there. Youmust have a portfolio ready to view. As you take more jobs from the site you get rated and develop a profile rating. The more jobs you get the better reason for you to charge more for your work. make sure you get paid at least 50% up front.

Good Luck

Which company will give me freelance job to earn money as designer?

December 152009

I want to work as a freelancer to earn money as a designer.

That’s a paradox.

You want a company to hire you as a freelancer.
It just doesn’t work. If you want a job as a freelancer, usually you take commissions work.

For companies you do contracts.

What is the most high paying stay-at-home job/how to become a freelance paralegal.?

December 122009

Just curious what some of the highest paying at home jobs are. I have my paralegal certificate and would like to know how to start some sort of freelance p/t job from my house. I (shockingly) enjoy paperwork/data organizing…any advice would help.

A few thoughts:

One service I’ve seen being done successfully by a "solo-practitioner" paralegal is corporate services, i.e. acting as the agent for corporations, taking care of corporate filings with the secretary of state (incorporation documents, annual reports, etc.) and various corporate formalities like organizing the minute book and stock certificates, etc.

If you have more of a litigation background, there’s probably some contract work available from time to time from solo lawyers or firms whose own staff is overburdened by a large case – like reviewing and organizing discovery materials and the like. This would likely not be done out of your home, though.

On Craigslist, how do you apply for a FREELANCE job through email?

December 52009

When applying for freelance (1 time) jobs on Craigslist, do I send my entire resume—or keep my introduction short and sweet with my work attached as jpegs??

(I am working on an online portfolio, but it is not ready yet.)

I want to give you an adivse, check first who is the person or company that you are sending your personal information. My girl friend sent her info for a personal assistant job and the guy who contacted her for the job was very weird.

Should I quit my dead end job for freelance work?

December 22009

I’ve been at the job 7 months, I’m not learning anything and the pay sucks, but it’s stable. On the other hand, great freelance opportunities come up now and again that I have to turn down because of this job. Should I just quit so I can free up my time? Doing contract/freelance work is very common in my field.

that decision is for u to make. before deciding, you need to know:

- how much income u think the franlance work will make, and whether the income will cover your current money salary and employee benefits (health care, vacation, etc)

- can u do freelance while keeping ur current job?

Can anyone help me to get a freelance job?

December 12009

I am 24 years old.I am good in english and computer. i am doing a job in dhaka,Bangladesh. I am interested to do some free lance job for any foreign company. can any one help me find a free lance job? I have tried some websites but thay want me to registry and ask for money. It will be great if any of you can help me.

Maybe this is a crazy question, but why don’t you just work for yourself?

The Internet is International and the opportunities to take part in the Digital Information Revolution are endless. It’s over a Billion Dollar market and the barrier’s to entry are not even worth considering.

I got my start by downloading free software and buying a kit of resources to modify for less than 10 bucks. I can now sell my product as many times as I want to or even give others the right to sell it for a fee they pay me.

Let me know if I can help.

What is the % of cash I should stash away from a $40K Freelance Job for taxes?

November 252009

Illinois tax rate, if it helps. Looking to the actual (or close to) percentage so I can just put that away into a CD and earn a little interest on it before I turn it over to Uncle Sam next year.

If that’s your only income for the year, around 31% should do it for federal and state income tax, and for self employment tax. But if you just save it and pay at the end, you’ll be subject to penalties for underwithholding. You are required to make quarterly estimated payments.

How much should I charge for this freelance job?

November 232009

I’m putting a book together to be published. How much an hour should I charge and where can I find more info on this matter?

Check with local typesetters…they can be found at any print shop.

As a beginner, how much should I charge for a "freelance" job to design business cards & a flyer?

November 212009

I have been given the opportunity to design business cards and a flyer for a local tattoo shop. My goal is to get hired on full-time as a shop manager. This is kind of a test by the owner to see what I can do.
How much should I charge for a first-time (probably one time only) design job? I want to make this worth my time, but still not overcharge, thereby decreasing my chances of being hired on as a full-time shop manager?

Don’t do it free, people associate free with cheap (I still love Stallman, though). You are marketing yourself, you want to imply that you are worth hiring, business people associate worth with money, so you want to be about average here. If you go too high, you look like you’re greedy, too low, you look like you’re inexperienced.

You say you are inexperienced, and that is fine, that doesn’t mean, though, that you will do a bad job, you still need to represent yourself as something worth having, so don’t go too low.

Guy who spoke before is pretty right. Query design shops in your area, get a feel for that price, go a little under it. This says you are worth something, but you are not trying to take advantage. Essentially, a great deal :)

Plus, as you pointed out, you are doing work, and it should be worth your time.

On the other hand, if the shop owner is a communist, throw out everything I said ^^
