The reason I choose this article is because it had many ideas on how to teach higher-level learning in language arts. These skills are useful for challenging not only the gifted, but any student. Creating a group poem helps student learn to collaborate, influence literacy experience and develop social skills. Fiction improvises develop students ability to think divergently. Finally, researching requires students to become familiar with research genres and critic different point of views. Therefore, the lesson plans and ideas in this article could develop any student’s analytical minds and their imagination. In my experience these are the critical areas lacking in student development.
