I’m doing freelance editing and i need to know how to put a logo on the bottom of a screen for a video im editing. How do i do it. I have the jpg and the video.
You can:
a) Import it as a jpeg, take it from your viewer and drag it into the timeline as is (resize/reposition if needed). The problem with this is that it will be imported as is, meaning the logo will likely have a square frame around it with whatever color background it is over.
b) If you want the logo without any jpeg border, open the jpeg in photoshop and create a new transparent layer. bring your logo to the top as the top layer and begin cropping/erasing all the areas around your logo. The end product will be your logo (top layer) and a transparent background (bottom layer). Save as a PSD file, and import it into Final Cut pro, choosing the layer with your Logo. This technique will allow you to show JUST the logo without the squarish jpeg border.
hope this helps
