Freelance Writer

There are just so many of them and I got to pick one but which one is my question. I’am an India based freelance writer and don’t know much about paypal either (Most sites ask for that)

   In choosing a freelance writing site, choose one that has been around for some time and that makes payment to you, instead of the client making the payment to you directly. This process works fine. And, should there be any problem between you and the client regarding work, time frame, and payment, the freelance site could act as a mediator. Try guru.com and elance.com.

   PayPal is a convenient way of receiving payment from national / international clients. PayPal withholds a small service fee, each time you withdraw amount from it. Open a free PayPal account at paypal.com.

   In the above info, the per hour rate doesn’t apply to the Indian context. However the per hour rate is higher than any other type of writing.

   Hi there. I would recommend oDesk if you are looking for freelance work. I have been very successful finding jobs through that network, and unlike most of the other outsourcing sites, it’s free to set up a profile and apply for work.

   They also have a decent sized community of providers in India so I know that a lot of buyers are looking for skilled workers in that country.
