where would be the best place to look for freelance graphic design jobs ?

I’m currently studying HND graphic design at college i want to get out there and get some freelance work on the go…
so where do i look or ask at to get a job started?
sometimes schools have freelance projects that people have come to them to have students do…ask your career services department.
also, friends and families are good.
and also going out to local businesses and giving them your card (just make sure you have some work online up so they can see your talent)
Also, you can bid for work on etsy.com through Alchemy, or do a search for websites, like freelancedesigners.com (there are tons of similar ones too…)
