Freelance Writer

There is a website called www.guru.com where freelancers etc can look for work and employers post projects.

The trouble is it is an American site and although it does work with the UK i would prefer to find a similar one closer to home.

Guru does work well but does anyone else know of a similar website? UK is prefered but I am still open to international sites.
These are great sites but has anyone got anymore, particularly on the writing side?
