How to bid free lance projects in the net?

I am computer programmer can anyone tell me how to bid freelance projects in the net.

I use getafreelancer.com I just finished a project where I hired my programmer from there and it worked out great.

Just check it out, look at the jobs offered, and see what others are bidding.
