Shuffleboard, while not as popular as in its heydays of the 1950’s, is coming back into the public eye. It is increasingly being seen played in family parks, game halls, sports facilities as well as bars and community centers. Many homes have a shuffleboard table set of their own and the competition is being brought back into the sport with cities and states hosting tournaments, and with a National Shuffleboard Hall of Fame having been established, the sport certainly is on an upswing. It is essentially a game that people of all ages can play regardless of their physical abilities and use their skills, strategy to compete for fun and entertainment. A shuffleboard table in the house seemed to be a great way for my family to spend some healthy time together.
